Rachael Fowler is a BSW, MSW and RSW Qualified Social Worker, Psychotherapist and Public Educator Specializing and Trauma and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Trauma. Using an empathetic and non-judgmental approach, Rachael uses evidence-based techniques to empower clients to take charge of their own lives while working alongside them to navigate life’s unique paths.
Rachael provides a safe space for youth and adults of all cultures, faiths and spiritual backgrounds as well as has extensive experience in working with 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals. She actively supports individuals in a wide range of topics, including but not limited to, self love and body image, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, goal setting, relationship, family and friendship transitions as well as provides specialized services for growing beyond traumatic experiences such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Safe and Sound Protocol.
Rachael pays special attention to psychoeducation in understanding our brain and nervous system to help others discover the root of dis-ease in their life as she believes the more language we have in understanding our own internal systems the more power we have over our own individual experience of wellness.
Rachael is a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers (OCSW), the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) and obtained her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from the University of Waterloo. Additionally, Rachael has completed her Certification in Trauma at Wilfrid Laurier University and training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) through EMDRIA.
